I’m Lisa Ducharme, a passionate wine enthusiast from Northern Ontario with a deep love for exploring vineyards and tasting exceptional wines. My journey into wine began 20 years ago. Cruising and exploring the Old World sparked my passion for wine and its history.
From the rolling vineyards of Australia and New Zealand to the historic wine estates of France and Spain, I’ve had the privilege of immersing myself in the rich traditions and innovative techniques that make each region unique.
These travels have not only deepened my appreciation for wine but have also given me a nuanced understanding of the stories behind each bottle, the distinct characteristics of different grape varieties, and the vital role that climate and soil play in shaping the wines we enjoy.
For me, wine is more than just a beverage—it’s a connection to the land, the people, and the culture that produce it. I’m always eager to explore the lesser-known regions and uncover hidden gems, particularly from areas like Croatia and Chile, where winemaking traditions are as rich as they are diverse.
I’m certified with WSET II with Merit, and I’m currently completing my WSET III, which further fuels my desire to expand my wine knowledge and expertise. These certifications represent not just my commitment to understanding wine but also my passion for sharing that knowledge with others.
